Instagram now has a massive 300 million users, surpassing Twitter’s current figure of 284 million users. If you haven’t done so already, it might therefore be time to tip your toes in the Instagram water and think about using it to market your music.

- The secret to Instagram is the use of hashtags which users search for, more so than they do in Twitter. These hashtags are therefore your method of being discovered.
- Like all social media post a mixture of promotional and non promotional content/photos.
- Who is your target audience? Use hashtags to tag bands who are similar to you.
- Like other social networks, participate (comment, like, follow etc.).
