To aid your music being discovered I suggest having lots of your music uploaded to YouTube with appropriate tags to help its discovery. The easiest way to do that is to create a ‘cover art’ video for each song, you know the sort of thing, just a static image with the music playing in the background. The best site I’ve discovered for creating them is Tunes To Tube.
I’ve covered the site before in this blog but they’ve added more features so it’s worth me covering them again.
Here’s how it works. Connect tunestotube to your YouTube channel, upload an mp3 and a jpg from your hard drive and tunestotube will create a video and upload it to your YouTube channel in about 10 seconds or less!
You can enter the video Title, Description & Tags on the Tunes To Tube upload page and you also choose for the video to go live immediately or stay private (handy if you still want to tweak tags or add further annotations).
You can also dictate the video size from 854 x 480 to 1920 x 1080. If you don’t have an image, it can also generate an image from the Title and description supplied. You can even store default tags and a default description, handy when uploading multiple tracks from the same album .
The service is free but if you donate to them you remove watermark which is even better. Try it out. Here’s one I prepared earlier.
