Recycle And Reuse Your Old Social Content

It can certainly be a struggle to keep coming up with new and engaging content to fill your social media channels and you shouldn’t be afraid of ‘recycling’, that is reusing and reposting some of your older social content.

Recycling and re-posting older articles is a good practice.

Recycling and re-posting older articles is a good practice.

The idea is that you’re constantly getting new fans so they might not have seen that old content.  Those new fans won’t have heard that radio session you posted six months ago or won’t have seen that live recording of a song you posted a year ago on YouTube (especially if it wasn’t uploaded to your channel).  So, don’t be afraid of reposting some of your older content

Throwback Thursday is always a good time to replug older stuff from a few years back too.

In fact, the article you’re reading is a ‘recycled’ blog post I did in September 2014, so even this is recycled!

Takeaway Tip: You wouldn’t write a song and play it just the once so don’t think you have to do the same with your social media content.
