From 19th August Facebook newsfeed ads are going to get smaller. More accurately, the amount of space that Facebook will give you for an ad is getting smaller. Compare and contrast the image below.
We don’t tend to use such tall images in our music marketing but the text allowed before people have to click to ‘see more’ is getting much smaller. It’s now three lines (or 80 or so characters).
What that means is that when you’re running ads you’re going to need to start really condensing your text to make sure that people get to see your important message without it being ‘cropped’ in the newsfeed.
