GIFs on social media are great and here’s a great way for you and your fans to REALLY use them.

We’ll start with giphy.com.  We’ve recommended the website Giphy on 60SMM before.  It’s a website which allows you to make animated GIFs clips from YouTube videos and download them. It’s a great fun tool but now here’s something to take it to the next level.

GIPHY allows you to create GIFs from YouTube videos. Nice.

After creating those GIFs, you should now upload them to tenor.com with an appropriate tag (your band name/artist name for example).  Now, wherever people search for GIFs using that name on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp etc your GIFs will come up and they can used in posts.  How cool is that.

Uploading your GIFs to Tenor with appropriate tags means you can search for and use them on Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp!

Add additional tags such as a band member’s name or maybe your genre of music.  Tag whatever you are doing in the video: ‘rocking out’ ‘party time’ and people everywhere will be using them. Could you become GIF famous?

Make sure you use them regularly on your socials and encourage your audience to do the same!
