How Your Audience Can Spend ‘Quality Time’ With You

We spend a great deal of our time communicating with our audience via social networks however we tend to forget that the posts we make on these networks are ephemeral.  The text and images are read and consumed in mere moments and then people are onto the next posts in their feed. The average watch time of a Facebook video is under 10 seconds. It’s hard for people to spend a useful amount of time with you which is detrimental if you’re trying to build a relationship with them.  I really do think this is where podcasts come in.

Podcasts are a great way of spending ‘quality time’ with your music fans.

I have a new favourite podcast (which I like so much I’ve also become a Patron) whose episode length is between is between three to four hours per show.  That’s a whole lot more than a lot of other podcasts but podcasts in general allow listeners to spend a good amount of time with their hosts/presenters. With this time we can get to know them better and we’ll enjoy the time we spend in their company.

If you’ve still not created a podcast yet, now’s the time.  It will allow your audience to spend a good amount of quality time with your audience helping to build a stronger relationship with them.
