User generated playlists are a popular feature on Spotify however most artists don’t see them as opportunities to get their music heard.  They should of course so let’s see how you can make this happen.

Spotify Playlists are a great way to put your music ‘alongside’ major artists.

You should regularly create playlists which feature your best music as well as music from similar (but more influential) artists.  Make the playlist a great compilation of some ‘big names’ and include just a couple of your own tracks.  You can perhaps theme the playlists as I have suggested before for YouTube playlists.

Not only can you share this playlist yourself through your website and social channels, but it will be searchable within Spotify.  Fans looking for the music from the bigger artists will hopefully ‘stumble upon’ your playlist and be introduced to your music by it.
