The new year is almost upon us, and I’m asking you to start thinking about the plans that you should put into place to help market your music better in 2016. Do you already have a marketing plan in place for 2016 don’t you?
If you don’t have a marketing plan in place yet, you need to be thinking about the following topics:
- How much do you want to increase your social media followers by in 2016? How are you going to achieve that increase? Paid advertising? Specific campaigns designed to boost your awareness?
- Do you know what singles and albums you are releasing in 2016 and when? Do you have ideas for the videos or ideas for the marketing events or tactics that you are going to use to promote this music?
- Have you updated your bio/EPKs? Do you have some new photos or imagery ready to roll out?
These activities won’t happen all by themselves and if you want to make any sort of progress you need to have an outline about what you want to happen in the new year and how you are going to achieve it.
